This painting became to be after having dinner with my friend Sarah, at the Aquinnah cliffs. They had a band playing music, kids dancing with their parents and eating good food, meanwhile the most spectacular sunset i had seen all summer was the back drop to this evening. It was one of those nights were everything was perfect and you knew you were meant to witness it.

We met for coffee at 11am. The date went so well we decided to go to Squibnocket Beach. Now I don't know if my subconscious was at work for me but my suggestion to go to the beach did allow me to see this gentlemen with his shirt off sooner then if I hadn't. We talked until the sun was just about to set, the painting was the scene I remember the most from that day spent with that man, I look at him, as he was driving us farther away from the beach. The pond was his background, I fell in love with what i saw. Love is and has always been my greatest inspiration.

Aquinnah Cliffs are in a town located on the island of Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts . There is something truly special about Aquinnah. The landscape, the water. It's the last viewing point in the entire island where you can catch the sunset. I have had countless experiences resulting into some of the most memorable moments of my life here.
The Last Stand | Brick Yard
Oil on canvas 6" x 4" Framed in solid brass
Brief story about this painting: The red brick chimney, a familiar landmark for boaters, is all that remains of the former brick factory. Me and my dear friends decided that it would be a great idea to go off roading to get to this lovely land mark. Lets just say it was a bumpy ride but it was well worth the journey.
